Peau-Cession, sandstone, melted marshmallow, tulle prints, scoubidou candies, 53 x 38 x 34 cm, 2012

The corset is the symbol of rigidity and oppression of the women bodies. However, it has been also a powerful tool which helps women to  take back their sexualities at the end of the 19th century. The doctors of the time blamed this underwear for its abortive and contraceptive use and not for its discomfort.

The corset-sculpture is coated of melted marshmallow printed with tulle canvas, symbol of the veil's bride.
